The majority of the family is monospaced –with the exception of a few characters that usually look too narrow in a mono setup. They take up a double width. For the purists there is an OpenType feature to go all mono. Bauer is neutral enough for serious matters like invoices etc. but its 19th century roots produce a funky yet unobstrusive charm that let the typeface stand out in more casual environments as well.
